College staff misconduct · Accused: former anthropology professor

Years of abuse: decades (through his retirement)

Multiple women alleged that a longtime UAA anthropology professor sexually harassed and exploited students who depended on him for academic and professional advancement over many years.

Status: A Title IX investigative report found nine women's accusations credible; alleged in a 2019 federal civil lawsuit by multiple Jane Doe plaintiffs against the professor and the University of Alaska.

Response: Banned from campus; UAA called his conduct reprehensible.
