College staff misconduct · Accused: former head women's volleyball coach

Years of abuse: 2019-2020

Eight former women's volleyball players alleged in a federal lawsuit that the former head coach sexually harassed them and engaged in inappropriate touching, including unwanted pinching of their buttocks and lying on top of players in 'floor hugs,' along with physical and emotional abuse during 2019 and 2020.

Status: Alleged in a federal civil lawsuit filed in 2021 and amended in December 2021 (U.S. District Court, Southern District of Alabama).

Response: The coach resigned in February 2021; the university said it could not comment on pending litigation. The suit alleges officials were notified and did nothing.
