Years of abuse: c. 2014-2015

Caltech found an astrophysics professor violated its sexual harassment policy in his treatment of graduate students he supervised, including firing a student from his research group because he was in love with her. He was suspended without pay, the suspension was extended to August 2017, and he was barred from unmoderated contact with students.

Status: Title IX finding; suspended 2015-2017; later left Caltech
