College staff misconduct · Accused: High school teacher, later LMU adjunct/assistant professor (education)

Years of abuse: mid-2000s (plaintiff's high school years; reported to LMU 2009)

A former LMU student sued LMU and her former Catholic girls' high school, alleging a teacher who later became an LMU adjunct and assistant professor had sexually abused her as a minor, and that LMU's student affairs office took no action when she reported it in 2009. The teacher was arrested in 2014 on six felony sexual assault charges.
