College staff misconduct · Accused: Theology professor and pastor

Years of abuse: 2014-2017 (grooming from 2014, sexual contact 2016-2017)

A former student sued a PLNU theology professor, who was also her pastor, alleging he used his position to begin a nonconsensual sexual relationship with her in 2016-2017, presented as healing for past trauma. PLNU placed the professor on leave pending investigation in 2018.

Status: Sued January 2018; professor placed on leave 2018; countersuit filed
