College staff misconduct · Accused: former humanities lecturer and administrator (Revelle College)

Years of abuse: 2016-2017

Two female students reported that a Revelle College humanities lecturer and administrator repeatedly questioned one about her sex life while she needed a recommendation letter, and that he served another wine at his home and kissed her on his bed.

Status: Found in a 2017 campus investigation to have violated UC sexual harassment policy and created a hostile environment (investigator did not find a violation of the sexual assault-contact provision); he denied the most serious allegations.

Response: Placed on investigatory leave in April 2017; resigned before discipline.
