Hazing · Delta Tau Delta

A civil lawsuit alleges that in fall 2025 an FAU student was blindfolded during an off-campus Delta Tau Delta hazing ritual and made to drink a large quantity of high-alcohol beverage within minutes, blacked out, and suffered a severe, permanent hand injury from broken glass; members allegedly drove him to a hospital and left without calling 911.

Status: Alleged in a negligence lawsuit filed in Palm Beach County in 2026 against the chapter and the national fraternity; pending.

Response: FAU suspended the chapter pending its review.
