College staff misconduct · Accused: former religious studies professor

Years of abuse: 2016

A former student alleged in a lawsuit that a religious studies professor coerced her into sex twice in spring 2016, once in his on-campus office, and promised her an A.

Status: Alleged in a 2017 civil lawsuit (battery, Illinois Gender Violence Act); the professor denied coercion and said the contact was consensual.

Response: A Cook County judge dismissed DePaul from the lawsuit; the professor no longer worked at DePaul.
