College staff misconduct · Accused: former cross country and track coach
A cross country coach was accused by female athletes of sexual misconduct, manipulation and injecting them with substances, and separately of luring a 16-year-old recruit on an out-of-state trip that included sexual activity.
Status: Convicted by a jury in September 2024 of felony sexual battery against a former athlete and sentenced to one year; earlier pleaded guilty to identity deception in the 2020 case involving the recruit.
Response: The university fired him in 2020; the NAIA suspended the cross country program from postseason play and placed athletics on probation.
