A Grand Valley State University investigation found the Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter violated the student code through hazing and alcohol consumption; the probe began after a 21-year-old member was treated for excessive drinking and a concussion.

Status: University disciplinary finding; no criminal charges reported.

Response: Chapter banned from campus for at least five years; appeal denied in November 2017.
