Response: The national organization closed the Columbia chapter.

2016

Disciplinary documents reported in 2016 alleged that the chapter gave new members pills and told them to drug women before sexual activity.

Status: Allegation reported to the Title IX office in August 2016. The university did not open a drugging investigation at the time. The national fraternity denied the claims and said no formal charges were filed.

Response: MU said it would investigate if information showed the allegations had merit.

The University of Missouri temporarily suspended the Kappa Alpha chapter in October 2016 after an alleged hazing incident.

Status: Chapter temporarily suspended by the university in October 2016, pending a formal conduct process.
