A Franciscan friar who had served as a campus minister at the university was charged with raping and sexually battering an adult, in an offense prosecutors said occurred at the university. The dates of the conduct were not specified in the cited reports.

The university disclosed that it had received a report giving reasonable cause to believe a priest who was a prominent member of its community made unwelcome sexual advances toward a female student in the early 1990s.
