Hazing · Kappa Alpha Psi (Gamma Tau chapter)

Kent State's Kappa Alpha Psi chapter was found to have hazed pledges over roughly six years, including paddling and caning and mental abuse, with prior allegations dating to 2008, 2010 and 2011.

Status: University disciplinary finding; no criminal charges reported in cited coverage.

Response: Chapter suspended in October 2013 for three years (through May 2016), with reinstatement conditioned on a new member education plan, anti-hazing programming and risk management training.
