College staff misconduct · Accused: former assistant lecturer (communication department)

Years of abuse: 2017-2018

A student alleged in a federal lawsuit that an assistant lecturer in the communication department made inappropriate comments and touched her inappropriately while she worked on a class project, and that the Title IX office initially closed her complaint without action.

Status: Alleged in a federal civil lawsuit filed in 2020.

Response: According to the lawsuit, the lecturer was fired after further complaints in late 2018; the university said his last day was May 10, 2019.
