According to school and fraternity records reported by The Virginian-Pilot, members of Old Dominion University's Omega Psi Phi chapter beat pledges, forced them to drink hot sauce and poured hot sauce on their genitals; one pledge sought hospital treatment.

Status: Fraternity investigators found the chapter violated hazing and membership selection rules; no criminal charges reported in cited coverage.

Response: Chapter suspended for five years.
