In October 2024 Marshall reported allegations of sexual misconduct, alcohol abuse, humiliation and other hazing activities in two separate incidents, one involving Alpha Sigma Phi and the Alpha Xi Delta sorority and one involving Alpha Tau Omega, after a student complaint and social media posts.

Status: Under university and Title IX investigation; no charges reported in cited coverage.

Response: Marshall issued cease-and-desist letters and temporarily suspended all three chapters pending investigation by its Office of Student Advocacy and Accountability and Title IX office.
